Layer 2 Communications IP Interconnect termination service offers high quality VoIP calling to all international calling destinations, aggressive rates and 48 hour Interconnect provisioning and activation.
About the IP Interconnect Service
Layer 2 Communications IP Interconnect Call Termination service is a SIP-based IP link established between Layer 2 Communications network and a customers’ softswitch. The customers’ softswitch may be an Asterisk server, VoIP Switch or any other IP and SIP supported server. Once the link is established, the customer delivers the call traffic it has available to Layer 2 Communications network via the provisioned IP Interconnection link. Layer 2 Communications receives the calls from the customers’ softswitch, authenticates the calls via the customers’ public static IP address and then terminates the calls at the perspective calling locations worldwide. All calls originating from the customers’ softswitch and authenticated by Layer 2 Communications network are charged to the customer’s account at the agreed-upon termination per-minute rate.
IP Interconnect Service Client Requirements
To ensure a successful working relationship, the perspective client must meet the following requirements to become an IP Interconnect services client:
1. The perspective client must have telecommunications networks expertise with regards to softswitch provisioning and IP networks maintenance. Layer 2 Communications will NOT provide local network support.
2. The perspective client must have a provisioned IP network and softswitch.
3. The perspective clients’ softswitch MUST support standard SIP.
4. The perspective client must have a PUBLIC STATIC IP address assigned to the softswitch being used for the IP Interconnect.
5. The perspective clients’ softswitch MUST support the standard codecs: G.723, G.729 and G.711
International or Domestic Termination Test Account
Layer 2 Communications will create a test account for those perspective termination client who wish to test the calling routing and service quality before proceeding with the termination services. Please provide the following details via email in order to arrange to receive the test account:
- Public static IP address of the soft switch being used to send the test calls
- Make and Model of the soft switch, i.e. Asterisk, VoIPSwitch
- Voice Codecs supported, i.e. G723, G729
Testing accounts will be provided within 48 hours upon receipt of the above perspective customer’s network details.
